Washing Instruction

  • Sateen
Soiled sheets should be washed in cold water with mild detergent on a gentle cycle. After washing, the sheets should be dried on a cool dry cycle, with the dryer set on its air-dry setting. Sateen sheets don't require fabric softener or other chemical treatments to make them drape properly.
  • Jacquard
Machine washable in cold or warm water. Do not use detergent with bleach additives. Tumble dry on low temperature setting or hang dry for best results. Iron on cotton setting on the reverse side to reactivate the coating.
  • Silk
    • Shrinkage
    • We have tried many ways to reduce the shrinkage of the silk fabrics by checking the shrinkage before cutting. The maximum shrikage that can be happened to our product is 3% therefore, when customers water-wash the silk bedding, it will not miss-shape. So please just water-wash it either by hand or machine

    • Color fastness
    • All of the dyestuffs we use are imported from EU(European Union) supliers. Wellen provide good quality and environment friendly dye stuff, with cautious handling and properly dyed fibers and fabrics. The color fastness is excellent. Please do not worry that the color will be fading. however, we still suggest you to wash the similar color products in the same time.

    • Crinkle issues
    • Actually, silk is surrounded by sericin(kind of protein) and filament inside. The sericin is the major reason why the silk gets crinkled easily. Traditionally people thought there were 24% silk sericin and 76% silk filament, but currently the experts had dicovered that inside the 76% silk filament there is still 11% silk sericin, wich is hard to remove. But we did remove 24% outside silk beddings remain in a good condition: shining and less crinkle after washing.

    • Protein fiber
    • The protein fiber is like human skin, it is vulnerable with hot water and strong alkali. these are the major characters of the silk, and consumers should pay an extra attention to this point. So when you water wast the silk bedding, do not ever use hot water(more than 40°C). Do not use alkali to wash or to bleach since it can dissolve the silk, and deteriorate their strengh either. When it is really necessary to wash the beddings with alkali to remove special dirt, please after the applying, wash it with water gor several more times, to make sure that ther is none alkali remain one the silk. We suggest you to use acid liquid, such as vinegar to wash and balance the alkali

    • Tumble-dry
    • It is fine to tummble-dry te silk bedding in your washing machine, but do use low temperature. When it is 80% dry, take it out from the machine and iron it immediately.

    • Ironing
    • You can iron the silk beddings from 150°F to 200°F, but do not hold your hot iron on the top of the silk for more than 5 seconds. Always keep the iron moving, so the silk will not be damaged. Please move the iron along the warp direction if you can recognize which side is the warp. This will increase the shining effect of the silk

    • About dry clean
    • Actually we do not suggest our consumers to dry-clean the silk beddings for several reasons: beside the cost itself is expensive it is inconvenient and unhealthy, since the dry clean shop is using chemical ingredients to wash the silk, then it may damage the silk. Not mentioning if the chemical residues remain on the silk bedding, whick may cause impact to your health.

  • Celullose fiber
    • Delicate fabrics may be hand-washed in cold water with a gentle detergent. Drip dry. Tencel will shrink about 3% with the first washing, and will resist shrinking from then on.
    • Machine washing, using the gentle cycle, is appropriate for many garments (read the garment care label), and drip drying is preferable to machine drying. If line dried, you can briefly toss in the dryer with a damp towel to soften the fabric.
    • If you must touch up the garment with an iron, use a warm iron only. Too much direct heat may scorch the fabric.
    • Dry-clean Only: Some garments have a dry-clean only label. This is often due to other fabrics used as finishing details or structuring elements, such as linings, in the garment.
